Botanical Name - Tasmanian Lavender - Lavandula angustifolia.

Plant Origin - Tasmania, Australia.

Oil taken from - Flowering tops.

Extraction Method - Steam distillation.

Aroma Description - Deeply fresh floral aroma with gentle camphoraceous

undertone.

Tasmanian Lavender has a more herbaceous and more floral aroma than

other types of Lavender.

 

Traditional uses for Tasmanian Lavender Essential Oil include -

Named after the Australian Island state where it is carefully grown each year, Tasmanian Lavender shares many similar qualities to Lavender's from other countries but it is a different Essential Oil.

It is recognised as its own sub-species and is a delightful change from the French Lavender we all already know and love!

Strong antioxidant qualities help the body scavenge damaging free-radicals.

Useful for burns, bites, cuts, stings and bruises.

Antimicrobial effects protect against infections invading the body.

Relief for headaches - tension and migraine as Lavender has anti-inflammatory properties.  

Helpful to balance and regulate sleep conditions - broken sleep and insomnia, encouraging a gradual return to normal patterns.

Good for pain relief - as a strong anti-inflammatory agent Lavender can be used to provide relief for arthritis, muscular aches and pains, and stiffness.

Stress and anxiety are reduced and mood is uplifted when using Lavender essential oil.

It is gently soothing and calming to the mind, and helps to release tension when fatigued.

Product Safety -

Always store pure Essential Oils/Absolute Oils in brown glass bottles in an upright position with their cap firmly secured in place.

To maximise the shelf life of any Essential Oil/Absolute Oil it should be stored out of direct sunlight, in a cool, dry environment.  - A medicine cabinet is ideal!
