Traditional uses for Kaffir Lime Essential Oil include -
Kaffir Lime has much lower levels of Limonene present than most other Citrus Essential Oils, which gives it a deeper, longer lasting note -this is ideal when creating perfumes in comparison to the fleeting top notes of most other Citrus Essences.
A strong, refreshing and stimulating Essential Oil, Kaffir Lime can help improve a low mood and increases flagging energy levels.
It is widely used in skincare preparations for oily, compacted and acne skin types due to its notable anti-bacterial and anti-microbial content. It can however also be useful for dry, mature and prematurely aging skin types due to its high concentration of anti-oxidants, that can help scavenge free radicals to protect the system from excessive damage.
Cleansing and detoxifying to the body it can also be used to improve circulation and it stimulates the liver into working harder to remove pollutants from the body.
