Koyamaki Essential Oil points of interest -

This magnificent tree is called Koyamaki as it is found in abundance on and around Mount Koya in Japan.

Mount Koyamaki is a world Heritage Site where the trees are painstakingly preserved & looked after, and the Essential Oil is extracted from the leaves and branches that have been pruned carefully from the trees.

The Koyamaki tree is considered to be sacred and the leaves and branches are frequently offered to Buddha instead of flowers as they are considered so important and special.

Koyamaki has recently been chosen as the signature fragrance used to scent the hand towels given out to passengers on Japan Airlines First Class section as it has such refreshing and revitalising qualities.
