Citron di Salo is an interesting variety of Citrus, closely related to Citron and Buddha's Hand.
Citron di Salo has an excessively thickened rind and pith with a very small amount of quite dry pulp that yields a minimal amount of juice. It is the flavouring for Salo liqueur, an Italian Speciality!
The aroma of Citron di Salo Essential Oil is delightful - it has the zesty aroma of Lemon but without the bitterness. It is sweet & almost candy-like and has mild Clementine like undertones that make it invigorating to burn and a delight to use in products or as an uplifting and refreshing element to a massage blend.
As it is a rare product we are currently only able to offer pure Citron di Salo Essential Oil in 1ml, 5ml and 10ml sizes.
Citron di Salo Essential Oil is stimulating to the body. It helps combat anxiety, mental fatigue and nervous conditions when used regularly.
It is a strong anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory agent, making it useful in skin care support to de-toxify and remove impurities. It is great for oily and greasy hair and skin types as it can re-address and help normalize the balance of oil secretions.
In massage it is stimulating to the digestive and circulatory systems and helps to cleanse and remove impurities from the body.
