Choosing the Clove Essential Oil that is best for you -
There are 3 Essential Oils taken from the Clove tree -
1 Clove Bud,
2 Clove Leaf and
3 Clove Stem.
Clove Stem Essential Oil is not recommended for use in Aromatherapy as its chemical constituents are stronger than that of the Bud or Leaf products, and can cause skin irritations and rashes more easily that the other two products.
Clove Bud and Clove Leaf share most of the same therapeutic qualities but Clove Bud is usually favoured in Aromatherapy and product making applications as it has a generally more pleasing and more floral based aroma than that of Clove Leaf, although it is a totally subjective viewpoint!
