Aroma - Odourless to a very mild oily aroma.
**Refined Sesame should not be confused with Toasted Sesame Oil that has a very strong sesame aroma. Toasted Sesame Oil should only be used for cooking and not for massage or product making**
Absorption rate - Absorbs very slowly into the skin, taking a longer than lighter, less nourishing carrier oils. It can leave a heavy, waxy barrier on the skin if used as a stand alone carrier.

Traditional uses for Refined Sesame Carrier include -
Can be used on all skin types but is particularly good for dry, parched and mature skins as it is nourishing and has high vitamin E and B content.
Refined Sesame also has useful levels of Calcium, Magnesium and Phosphorus minerals to nourish the skin.
Due to the high levels of omega fatty acids this carrier is particularly softening, emollient and nourishing and can be used as an enriching massage medium for hands on massage, as a Carrier Oil to dilute Essential Oils into and can also be added to skin care preparations to enhance and add nourishment to the qualities of the blend or product.
Commonly added to face creams, lip balms and products to help relieve brittle and dry nails/cuticles it softens and has excellent hydration qualities.
Refined Sesame Carrier Oil -
Can be added in a 10-20% dilution to enhance other carrier oils, and can help provide prolonged slip during massage due to its very slow absorption rate. Not recommended to use as a stand alone carrier due to its heavy and waxy feel when applied to the skin.

Sesame Carrier should always be clearly labelled on products containing this Oil.**
Always store pure Carrier Oils in an upright position with their cap firmly secured in place.
To maximise the shelf life of any Carrier Oil it should be stored out of direct sunlight, in a cool, dry environment. - A medicine cabinet is ideal or Carrier Oils can also be refrigerated* to prolong their shelf-life.
*Please note that some Carrier Oils will become more viscous and/or solidify if stored below room temperature and will remain so until gently brought back up to room temperature.
