When used in hair/skincare preparations is is deeply nourishing, effectively hydrating the hair whilst firming and moisturising the skin.
Hina is rich in anti-oxidants, which help to scavenge and remove free radicals from the body and in turn - when regularly used - help improve the signs of ageing.
Hina has a high anti-inflammatory index, making it useful for soothing joint and muscular stiffness & pain. It has also been used traditionally to assist in relief from sunburn, and when combined with Aloe Vera in a suitable gel base it gives fast relief from the hot and tight skin associated with sun burn.
An excellent choice for massage blends when detoxifying, Hina is effective in toxin removal, and when combined with lymphatic drainage massage it also helps reduce fluid build up.
When burnt Hina Essential Oil is soothing and calming to a tense and overworked mind. It helps promote focus, and in this respect is often used during meditation to centre the mind and body.
