Traditional uses for Lavandin Essential Oil include -
Also known as Bastard Lavender, Lavandin is a hybrid of true Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) and Spike Lavender (Lavandula latifolia).
Regular Lavender Essential Oil is known for its relaxing qualities, but Lavandin has the same interesting energizing twist to its chemical make-up as Spike Lavender, making it similar in many ways and yet also quite different to regular Lavender.
This makes Lavandin a better choice to uplift and stimulate, whilst still enjoying the fresh and floral aroma that we all know and love with regular Lavender. Lavandin is milder than Spike Lavender with its highly camphoraceous aroma, and so is a nice half way point therapeutically and aromatically speaking between its two parent plants.
When burnt Lavandin creates a beautiful ambience in a room that also assists mental alertness and focus.
Lavandin has strong antioxidant qualities help the body scavenge damaging free-radicals.
Useful for burns, bites, cuts, stings and bruises.
Antimicrobial effects protect against infections invading the body.
Relief for headaches - tension and migraine as Lavender has anti-inflammatory properties.
Helpful to balance and regulate sleep conditions - broken sleep and insomnia, encouraging a gradual return to normal patterns.
