Hakka means mint in Japanese and the oil is extracted from the Peppermint that grows in Japan.
The menthol content in Hakka Essential Oil is around 1.5 times stronger than regular mint, which produces a much cooler, stronger and longer lasting menthol action.
In Japan there are 3 types of Hakka, -
Japanese Hakka, - Mentha arvensis (with the richer concentration of menthol),
Western Hakka (regular Peppermint Essential Oil) and
Green Hakka (regular Spearmint Essential Oil).
