Hydrosols are gentle, natural products that are ideal for daily personal home use, or as ingredients in natural product formulations.
They are composed mainly of pure filtered water with hydrophilic & hydrophobic compounds.
Aromatic compounds are also called Hydrophilic compounds -
they include polyphenols, acids, phenols, alcohols, ketones, aldehydes, and oxides.
Essential Oil compounds are also called Hydrophobic compounds -
they include monoterpenes, terpenic esters and sesquiterpenes. This element usually makes up between 0.05%-0.5% of the Hydrosol.

Traditional uses for Arabian Jasmine Absolute Hydrosol include -
Arabian Jasmine Absolute is a soothing and calming Hydrosol.
It has a lighter and fresher aroma than regular Jasmine Absolute, making it a great choice for those who find that Jasmine Absolute can be a little strong for a sensitive aroma palette.
It can be used in skin care preparations for its useful antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory in its effects.
It is also rich in anti-oxidants and is added to preparations for acne, skin breakouts and it helps to sooth skin irritations.
It can be used to nourish mature, parched and overly dry skin types.
Arabian Jasmine Absolute Hydrosol hydrates and tones the skin.
It can be applied to the skin after cleansing as an aromatic toner, or it can be put into a misting bottle and can be sprayed over the face (eyes closed!) and/or body to give a revitalizing lift on a warm day.
When spritzed in a room it creates an intoxicating floral aroma that is reputed to be a potent aphrodisiac.
It can be added to Clay Masks to improve their purifying qualities.

Product Safety -
Always store Hydrosols in an upright position with the cap firmly secured in place.
To maximise the shelf life of any Hydrosol it should be stored out of direct sunlight, in a cool, dry environment. - A fridge is ideal.
Hydrosols, if stored correctly, can last once opened between 6 months to 1 year.
Dispose of opened products if they become overly cloudy, (some hydrosols are a little cloudy even when completely fresh), if the aroma changes suddenly or if particles can be seen in the liquid or floating on top of the liquid. This indicates that the items shelf life has been exceeded and a fresh replacement product is required.
Hydrosols should never be -
taken internally,
never be put in or near the eyes nor put on areas of damaged or inflamed skin.
they should be stored away from children and used with caution around babies, small children and pets.
